Spring Yoga Schedule

For some strange reason, my page isn’t allowing me to edit my previous post so I’m going to try giving you all of the information in this post.

Fusion Flow

What a way to begin your weekend! Saturday mornings on the shores of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Mmmm. Nice.

The first part of the class is a moderate-paced vinyasa class to help you feel centered, focused, and restored. “Vi” means “in a special way” and “nyasa” means “to place”. In this practice we work to create cleansing heat in the body and increase strength and flexibility by moving from posture to posture in a special way using our breath and listening to the sounds of the waves and music.

In the second part of the class, we create space and ease by holding floor postures for long periods to relax the muscles and target the deep connective tissues of the body.  We use our power of attention and breath to calm our nervous system, and leave the class feeling refreshed and focused.

Fusion Flow is suitable for advanced beginners, intermediate and advanced students looking for a well-rounded class.

Yoga Flow

This yoga flow class will help your body and mind grow stronger while increasing focus and flexibility. Each class begins with breath-centered postures and moves to a series of postures that get your blood and breath flowing. We explore creative standing poses through proper alignment to make us pay attention, and to help us be to be more powerful. Balance postures help us to quiet our mind on the mat and off. In this class, we may even try transformative inversions, heart-opening backbends, cleansing twists, and forward bends and hip openers that’ll put a skip in your step. Each class will end with a time for deep, deep relaxation that’ll leave you feeling joyful and rested. This class is suitable for all levels, but especially for advanced beginner and intermediate students. Please bring a mat and a towel.

Gentle Yoga @ the Hubbard’s Sailing Club

Join in on this great class for beginners—and everyone interested in exploring the benefits of a gentle practice. This class includes basic breathing exercises, as well as learning the fundamentals of a variety of foundational postures. We’ll progress using yoga tools and proper alignment in standing, seated (using chairs), and on the floor poses. The class will leave you feeling strong, stretched and relaxed. Please bring a mat and a blanket.
