According to Buddhist philosophy, the Blue Lotus is the symbol of the victory of the spirit over the senses, of intelligence and wisdom. It represents knowledge, and is often illustrated as a partially opened bud whose center is unseen. The flower is the embodiment of the “perfection of wisdom”, encouraging us on our journey of continuous learning.
Come, join me if you want to
Let’s do this together.
My name is DeNel, DiDi to some friends and family, and Dr. D. to my university students. Blue Lotus Living is my way of sharing my love and knowledge of yoga with you.
Andrea & DiDi co-teach this class, adding some zest to your practice by using resistance in yoga postures. We still move slowly and deliberately through sequences of postures and breathing techniques to focus attention and free our minds from the busyness of everyday life, but in this class we also work on building strength by adding weight. Grab hand weights (food tins or water bottles will work!), a thera band and blocks. Wednesdays 9:30 am CDT
End your week in bliss with the balancing combination of movement and rest in this one hour class at the beautiful Hubbards Sailing Club. Fridays from 4:30-5:30 pm (AST). Session 1 Sept. 10-Oct. 1; Session 2 Oct. 8-29.
Practice on your own time, according to your own schedule. Mix and match classes that fit what your body tells you it needs. Rent individual classes or purchase a subscription.
The cost is $3 per rental, or purchase a $10 subscription for access to all of the classes. For $60, you can have access to ALL live classes and ALL video recordings.

Earlier this summer, I earned the Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 certification. It was a big deal for me because that’s the highest certification a yoga teacher can earn with the USA-based organization, and I like […]
Soon, it’ll be the one year anniversary of taking my yoga classes online. Wow, what a year. So, so, so many feels over this past 12 months. You know what I mean. We’ve all had […]
This Mexican Yogi invites YOU to join a yoga class from your own personal studio! That’s right. From the south of Mexico, I’m going to Zoom into your space to share with you the benefits […]
Didi’s classes are full of love and a sense of community. The yoga is high caliber—Didi provides innovative postures for more experienced students, while newer students will feel supported and encouraged as well. The classes leave me with a feeling of well-being, a more comfortable body, and thankful to be stretched and then relaxed.
I always feel amazingly relaxed after DeNel’s classes. The energy of her class is something I’ve never experienced in other yoga classes!
You are one of the best yoga teachers I know.
I like the individualized attention, positive energy/upbeat warm friendly atmosphere.
These Zoom meetings are so much more than just a yoga class, they are a community, and a lifeline during the “stay at home” days.
One of my greatest spring pleasures is having DeNel’s yoga classes resume. This year that didn’t happen. I have to say, the video classes have filled that a void are a close second to the in-person classes. I’m loving that I get to do them from home and with no commute time, I maintain that positive energy after class even more. Thank you Didi xo
