Julia Nails Urdva Dhanurasana (Upward Bow Pose)
A special friend from Melbourne sent me a photo of her daughter doing yoga in the park this weekend. Take a look at the form! Her spine is long, her arms are strong and her chest is open. Well done, Julia. You’ve inspired me to focus on supine (face and torso up) back bends in my own practice.
For some students, these postures bring an unparalleled openness. They conjure up fear in others. Both are good reasons to bring them into my classes this week.
